Our growing and processing partners are the key to everything we do at Farmers Ending Hunger. Farmers and ranchers make a big impact by donating a portion of their farm production for distribution. Our processing partners are just as important, donating their time and services to turn raw crops in packaged, shelf-stable foods.
Farmers
Farmers can help by dedicating a portion of farmland to growing useful crops including wheat, peas, potatoes and onions. Food commodities can also be donated. Through your efforts, hungry Oregonians could receive fresh, nutritious meals made with local crops.
Processors
Farmers Ending Hunger raises funds to cover the cost of transporting locally grown crops to processors who prepare and package them into food products. Some of these services are donated by local food processors. Without their help, most donated raw food crops would never make it to the tables of hungry Oregonians.
