St. Paul FFA chapter donates to FEH
The St. Paul High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter recently donated $160 to Farmers Ending Hunger as a result of their fund raising efforts. The FFA chapter conducted a variety of activities related to Valentine’s Day including “Candy-Grams” for their fellow 80 students at this rural Marion County School. Many of the students at St. Paul High School are from farm families who participate with FEH by donating food crops. At the same time rural Marion county has also been hard hit by the recession and has needed increased assistance from Marion-Polk Food Share, the Oregon Food Bank Network agency in this area. The St. Paul FFA Chapter President, Austin Smith, presented FEH Executive Director John Burt with the $160 check on February 26th at a school assembly.
